CountDefi, an international tax report service provider for crypto traders, approached us for a rebrand. The brief was to create an identity that resonates with crypto natives, yet still speaks to the regulated space of traditional finance. The only prerequisite was to retain their original logo.
With previous experience working in the crypto space, our team were well-positioned for this project. We used bold, abstract illustrations, combined with bright blues and gradients as reference to DeFi, whilst neon-yellow highlighted text and an introduction of a serif heading font spoke to the traditional financial services space.
For the website we developed a clear and simple story framework, using concise copy to simplify the complex nature of their services and clearly communicate their value proposition.
The project was hugely successful. We delivered a cohesive brand message that followed through from visuals to website copy, sales materials and trade show booths and effectively established CountDefi as the go-to professionals for optimised crypto tax reports.

Illustrations
Custom vector illustrations include isometric elements of graphs, charts and crypto references. Two dimensional patterns applied as shadows and fills create texture to the otherwise clinical space.
Vector elements are applied in a variety of combinations. The style is easily animated, extending the versatility of the illustrations across platforms.
Photos, converted to black and white and treated with a heavy grain, resemble photo copied images, referencing the traditional, accounting side of the company.
These are applied as background images for blogs or social media posts, in combination with vector elements.

Web Design
Our marketing team developed the messaging and provided the copy for the website. The design team created illustrations and wireframes, executing the final website using WordPress.
The user-journey guides visitors to become leads by scheduling a short discovery call with CountDefi’s sales team.

We created social media templates for their various platforms and types of posts and set it up in Figma for their in-house team to easily edit as required.
Events

For the 2023 Web3 ATL event in Atlanta, US they were able to take a number of flyers, stickers and other swag for promotion. It was a more intimate event, so we designed to pull-up banners that would enhance their presence, without taking up too much space.
